Spider-Man: Brand New Day has crossed a boundary no film trailer had ever reached before — one billion views. The trailer, which Sony released on March 17, hit that historic figure in just four days, per data confirmed by WaveMetrix. No promotional video in the history of cinema, gaming, or streaming had ever achieved such a total.

In its first day alone, the trailer collected 718.6 million views, shattering the record of 365 million set by Deadpool & Wolverine’s Super Bowl teaser in 2024. Spider-Man: No Way Home’s 355.5 million first-day record and Grand Theft Auto VI’s 475 million were also significantly surpassed. Brand New Day’s numbers were not just records — they were in a different dimension from anything that came before.

WaveMetrix’s tracking confirmed the 1.1 billion total by Tuesday, making it official. The number is the highest ever recorded for any trailer in any category of entertainment. The Brand New Day promotional campaign now stands as one of the most successful in the history of popular culture.

Arriving on July 31, the film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Tom Holland alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. As the fourth MCU Spider-Man film and a part of Phase Six, it is a highly anticipated continuation of the billion-dollar franchise. Indian audiences will enjoy six language releases across premium screens.

The trailer’s storyline — Peter Parker, forgotten by all who knew him, seeking to rebuild and fight back — generated an enormous emotional response. Fans expressed love, grief, and excitement across social media platforms. Brand New Day has already become a cinematic event, and audiences around the world are counting down the days to July 31.
